Blue Rider  - Ancient Temples

Lenbachhaus / Königsplatz/ Ring of Mauro Staccioli
Sir Norman Foster designed the extension-building of the artist Villa, reopened in 2013. Tour through the world's largest Collection of Expressionists Art of the  the "Blaue Reiter " (Kandinsky, Marc, Macke). Detour to key works by Joseph Beuys.
In front of the doors of the Lenbachhaus is theKönigsplatz : birthplace of public museums in Bavaria and King Ludwigs I " Athens at the River Isar ". The impressive "Ring" by Mauro Staccioli brings us back to the present.

Turkish Gate - Modern Art Palace
Türkentor/ Pinakothek der Moderne/ Eduardo Chillida
Visit the old Turkish Gate. The only remaining vestige of the old Turks-Barracks. Now it is an exhibition venue. Walk next door to the Pinakothek der Moderne. It was built by Stefan Braunfels and one of the largest collection for modern and contemporary art, architecture and design in Europe. In one building are presented four completely independent museums.
The monumental sculpture Buscando la Luz by Eduardo Chillida is regarded as the last large-scale sculpture by the Basque sculptor.

Tour to the outdoor installation "Never Ever" by Benjamin Bergmann. Visit the Alte Pinakothek. Created by order of King Ludwig I, built by Leo von Klenze. Is a pioneering museum with one of the most important art collection in the world. In addition to many masterpieces by Dürer, Rubens and Raphael, there is art from the Middle Ages to the mid-18th Century to see.
The Sculpure Park in front of the museum with its many iron works is worth seeing.

Old Master Paintings - Rusty Iron

Never ever/ Alte Pinakothek/ Sculpture Park
 
In the Neue Pinakothek you can found paintings and sculptures of Classicism, Romantic works, the Art Nouveau and Impressionism. It provides an overview of European art, from the Enlightenment to the beginning of the Mordernism - of Goya and David to Van Gogh and Cézanne.
In the Sculpture Park, which is located between the Old and New Pinakothek, contemporary works by international sculptors can be seen.
